My sweet, observant, and honest children....

GREAT Grandma "Pink"!!
(named after her favorite color!)

The other day Justin told me I looked like Grandma.
"Oh, I look like Grandma Whiting?"
( I've been told before that I look like my mom.)

"No! You look like Grandma Pink!"

Don't get me wrong, Great Grandma Whiting is beautiful!!
I would Love to be mistaken for this amazing women!!
Just not for a few years.

A few hours later.....

Gracie was tired and asked if she could lay on my tummy.
Saying so sweetly, " Your tummy is so, so ,
big and soft!".

It brought to mind a conversation I had with Mckay, a few years back.
He was 5 and I was pregnant with Mitch.
"Mom, babies are born in your tummy, right?"
"Yes, that's right."
"Well, then... ..why,
are your
legs and bum getting bigger?"

Sometimes,
teaching your kids to be honest,
can really backfire.

Atleast you can look in the mirror and see that their sense of reality is VERY different from the rest of the world!!! You are SO beautiful. I wish I could have your "soft" tummy! I think they might say mine is more squishy then anything! ha ha
Kids really know how to keep us humble don't they?

I'll trade you bodies anyday, kids are so funny, its good we don't take everything they say personal. Emily told me I didn't have muscles in my arms my elbows were sqishy, that is not all that is squishy. Happy almost Wedding Anniversary I can't believe its been how long 16 thats my guess, wow our kids our actually catching up with us. love you even though you are squishy!

Wait wait wait wait wait a minute! That is TOO FUNNY! All of the above could be farther from the truth. you have a rockin body and look amazingly young! I really hope you didnt take anything to heart! When I was only like 2 months pregnant with porter eliza said to me "come hear my big fat mamma! (yeah, she was 2!) how did she even know what that meant. It did sting for a minute and then I realized I was listening to a 2 year old!

That is so FUNNY! They kind of just say what pops into their heads without thinking it out first, don't they? Geez Louise.

Now that made me laugh outloud at midnight... hope I didn't wake any of the nanny kids up!! You are so lucky that it is not thr truth.. but I have had kids say that to me.. and it is the truth and I still find joy in it! I have told people for years what Jacqueline said to me when I nannyied her... "your a fluffy cloud!" Remember the 2 sundays of comments from people in your ward.. one from the lady that asked me if I was Lou's mom and the other from James that I had babysat a while back and he told me that "you've gotten fatter" hahaha then on the way home that classic convo between Mac and Mandz. She was telling me that I wasn't fat and she doesn't know why he would say that.. and then finally after her going on and on Mac says.. "Mandy, she is fat.. she knows it! It's ok!" Although all of this might offend someone.. it makes me laugh! I love the things that people say..they are just being real!
